has suspended publication A graduate of Woodward High School and member of the Woodward Hall of Fame, Marty went on to receive a degree in Speech and Journalism from Bowling Green State University in 1975. While a student at BG, he managed the WFAL radio station and was a reporter for the Campus TV station. He worked in Market Research for ORC National in Maumee for 13 years, and for National Family Opinion. For the past 8 years Martin was editor of the Lagrange Street News and covered the North Toledo beat touching the lives of thousands of people who resided there or operated businesses in the neighborhood. A founding member of the Lagrange Development Corporation, he was instrumental in establishing the Lagrange Street Polish Festival, providing their advertising and working at the festival for the past 30 years. He was a parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church where he volunteered as a Lector and Usher. Memorial donations can be given to the American Cancer Society or St. Clement Catholic Church. |
